Interim Management

CEO’s and other senior executives fail, get fired, quit, or sadly, die suddenly. No Company can stand a prolonged leadership void. We can fill that void with experienced executive leadership. We have the experience and analytical skills to quickly identify problems and opportunities and recommend decisive action for Board approval. While we are not a search firm, we can play an important role in the process of identifying, evaluating and hiring permanent new leadership.

Operational Improvement

We are able to use our significant management experience to evaluate and recommend improvements for underperforming companies before they reach the crisis stage. Improvement plans are based on a review of strategy, the development of decisive action plans, the mobilization of existing staff or when necessary, recruitment of new management. As interim managers we approach each situation with ruthless objectivity, unbiased by the way things have traditionally been done. We can act as interim managers or in cooperation with existing management teams.

Balance Sheet Restructuring

When a Company faces a balance sheet restructuring, whether in or out of bankruptcy, it rarely makes sense to ask existing management to continue to focus on running the business and to manage the restructuring process at the same time. The demands are too great, particularly for managers who have no experience with restructuring or bankruptcy and who are emotionally involved.

Our role is to provide interim, on site management of the restructuring process. We know how it works and we have the advantage of no emotional involvement. We are a knowledgeable liaison and buffer between the Company’s financial and legal advisors, and its management and Board.

Board Membership and Leadership

Following a Corporate restructuring or proxy fight, new stakeholders often need to replace the Board in part or in entirety. Several of our associates are experienced board members and are qualified for audit and compensation committee leadership on an interim or long term basis.
